I am switching from carpet to faux fur and faux sheepskin because my little Gracie scratches of pieces of her current cat trees, eats them, and then gets diarrhea. Blech! Question is: how well will this stand up to her use? They will scratch vigorously!
I also have a little fatty handicapped alley/cat manx kitty. She's 12 years old. I tried wrapping a rope around her tummy and holding against a measuring tape. It came to 17 inches. Does that sound about right for a little old lady cat? She finds it hard to jump. She has a little cat head and a big manx butt. She hops. Now that she is older she lists to the right a bit and drags along that right back paw. Will she fit through that hole to get from one level to another? She does still like climb.
